Sustainability

We hold our own footprint to the standard we sell

At Resourcify, our mission is to make the circular economy operational and we apply the same ambition to our own business. We are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance through measurable targets, transparent reporting, and credible climate action.

This page provides an overview of our sustainability commitments, the targets we have set, and the progress we are making towards them.

Our footprint

Greenhouse Gas Inventory · GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, operational-control boundary

Resourcify is a remote-first software company. We do not operate our own vehicle fleet, production facilities, or owned or leased office space. Where physical workspace is used, it is provided through serviced-office operators, while our platform is hosted on managed public-cloud infrastructure in Europe.

As a result of this operating model, our current greenhouse gas inventory reports no Scope 1 or Scope 2 emissions from assets under our operational control. Rather than setting reduction targets for emission sources that are not part of our current footprint, we focus our climate commitments on the areas where our activities generate emissions and where we can drive meaningful change.

Our emissions are therefore concentrated in Scope 3, with business travel and cloud infrastructure representing the most relevant areas of our operational footprint. These are the areas we prioritize through measurable targets and actions, reflecting our commitment to focus our efforts where they can have the greatest impact.

Measured emissions
Category 2025 baseline Latest measured Basis Source
Scope 1 — direct emissions 0 t CO₂e 0 t CO₂e No vehicles, no owned or leased facilities RSF-RPT-022
Scope 2 — purchased energy 0 t CO₂e 0 t CO₂e No owned or leased facilities RSF-RPT-022
Scope 3 — business travel 34.6 t CO₂e 21.9 t CO₂e Booking-level estimates from our travel-management system; complete coverage of company-booked travel. Latest figure covers January to July 2026. RSF-RPT-017
Scope 3 — cloud and IT infrastructure 2.6 t CO₂e 2.6 t CO₂e Market-based, provider-calculated, twelve months to June 2026. The location-based figure for the same period is 6.9 t CO₂e. RSF-RPT-022
Total measured Scope 3 37.2 t CO₂e Business travel and cloud infrastructure; two of three material categories measured RSF-RPT-022
Emissions intensity 0.6 t CO₂e Per average full-time equivalent over the reporting year RSF-RPT-024
We report both the market-based and the location-based figure for cloud infrastructure rather than only the lower one.

Scope 2 kept at zero 0 t CO₂e Maintain 0 t Verified annually Met
Scope 3 reduced in absolute terms 37.2 t CO₂e −25% → 27.9 t 2030

Scope 3 intensity per employee reduced 0.6 t CO₂e / FTE −35% → 0.39 t 2030 On track

We hold both an absolute and an intensity target deliberately. We expect to grow, and growth makes an absolute target harder while making an intensity target easier — holding both prevents either from flattering us.
On the climate-project target: we distinguish the instruments precisely. In July 2023 we compensated 35.1 t through verified offset credits; in August 2026 we purchased a certified climate contribution of 103.7 t. A contribution is not an offset — the emission reductions are counted by the project host countries. Neither substitutes for reduction, which always comes first.

Science-based targets

Status as of August 2026

We are committed to setting science-based emissions reduction targets.

In August 2026, Resourcify submitted its formal commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), marking the start of our journey towards independently validated, science-based climate targets. Our commitment status is publicly recorded by SBTi and can be independently verified.

Our current reduction targets, published above, were established in August 2026 using 2025 as the baseline year. Building on our first consolidated greenhouse gas inventory, we will further develop these targets in alignment with SBTi criteria during Q4 2026 and plan to submit them for formal validation in Q1 2027.

Following submission, the validation process and timeline are managed by SBTi. We currently anticipate validation during Q2 2027.

We will report annually on our progress against these targets and update this page as our SBTi journey advances, providing transparent information on our commitments, performance, and next steps.

Governance

This page is owned and approved by the management of Resourcify GmbH and reviewed annually alongside our inventory results. The inventory is compiled by Finance with Engineering; indicators are consolidated in our Responsibility KPI Report and reviewed by management. Progress against the targets on this page is reported here annually — including where we fall short. If a review shows we are off track, corrective measures are agreed at that review with named owners.
